absence of their owner ! Situated in the Col de Vence, the villa
looks down over the town, parts of the Gorge du Loup and towards
the coast. The accommodation is divided into two parts, one the
main house where there are three bedrooms. One is double with sitting/study
area and open south-facing balcony, a second with a 120 cms. bed
for two very close people or as a larger single also with balcony,
and a third with a double (140cms) bed and en suite bathroom and
WC. The double and other single bedrooms share the facilities of
a full bathroom with shower over the bath, twin basins and a separate
toilet.
There is also an independent house below the villa with a studio
apartment with separate access. It has a double bed and a kitchenette/dining
area with micro-wave, hob and fridge. There is an independent shower
room and WC. There is access externally from the rear of the building.
The exterior dining area under a covered verandah gives respite
from those hot torrid days in the sun and gives a light cooling
breeze to diners. The salon is large and L-shaped with two distinct
sitting/lounging areas. Modern pieces are intermingled with antiques
and the kitchen is just off the salon with cream cottage units,
granite worktop, electric oven, gas and electric hob, dishwasher
and large American fridge. Separate laundry room with washer/dryer.
There is also a further WC and basin in the hallway at the bottom
of the stairs.
The pool has the same views as the villa with wide sun-bathing
terraces around, a covered verandah for cooler meals and plentiful
sun beds. Access to the property is through secure electronically
controlled gates and there is parking for 2-3 cars in the grounds.
This is a lovely unassuming villa of quality with accommodation
suitable for a mixed party of younger elements and parents with
ample space to be away from each other if necessary. The price
is lower than normal rates for a villa of this standard and position
because the owner wishes to leave the cats in their surroundings………they
are friendly and endearing.
